Premium Funding

Pupil premium

The Pupil Premium is government money designed to help disadvantaged children and young people do well at school. The funding is allocated to schools for children from Reception to Year 11 who have registered for free school meals in the last six years, are in care or have parents in the Armed Forces.

If you are not sure if your child could have free school meals, please speak to the office. They would be really glad to help.

Sports and PE funding

P.E. and school sport play a very important part in the life of the school. We believe that P.E. and school sport contribute to the holistic development of our children and through participation, our children build and learn more about our key values such as respect, unity, co-operation and kindness for themselves and others.

Cathedral School is committed to ensuring all our children enjoy sport and physical activity. We strive to build on the enthusiasm for PE that is felt by the whole school community.

We believe that sport should be an important part of our school as sporting excellence and participation go hand in hand with high academic standards.
