Stars of the week: Alexander & Lara.
This week in class 4, they been building literacy skills, creating atmosphere through sensory descriptions, expanded noun phrases for setting and varying sentence starters by employing ‘stretch’ and ‘snap’ sentences. They have all written well thought out pieces of writing with lots of descriptive detail.
In Art, they have been researching ancient greek mythical beasts, looking at primary resources like pots and sculptures that depicted the magnificent creatures. They sketched them into their books and will be preparing to create their very own.
