Stars of the week: Emma & Ava
This week in Class 4, the children have been working hard on telling the time using analogue clocks, as well as 12-hour and 24-hour digital formats. They have solved time problems involving the next and previous hour and are becoming increasingly confident in reading and recording time accurately. The class has also begun a new maths topic on shapes and coordinates, learning how to plot and read coordinates by writing the x-axis first, followed by the y-axis.
In Science, the children have built on their understanding of classification. They have explored the differences between vertebrates and invertebrates and have started to group animals into their correct classes using a wide range of examples.
