Stars of the week: Ava and LJ
This week, year 3 have been exploring persuasive writing by sending a letter to the witch from Hansel and Gretel’s story asking her not to eat them. They were so persuasive that the witch replied through an email and promised not to eat any more children! Year 3 then debated whether Hansel and Gretel should apologise to the witch for eating part of her house. We wrote a discursive essay on the topic, and concluded that it might be nice for them to send a discursive apology letter next week. Year 3 have also been getting excited for the year 6 production of the lion king and have created some surrealist, lion-king inspired art!
