Elsie and Oscar!
Elsie and Oscar both worked hard during our writing activity this week, working independently to hear the initial sounds in each word, and record these, as well as listening out for any subsequent sounds.
Great work both of you!
This week we have been independently applying our phonic knowledge to our writing. We wrote an Autumn list, listening carefully to the sounds we could hear, and thinking about the correct corresponding letter we needed to write, using the letter mat for support. We have also been focussing on our pencil grip and letter formation.
As we come to the end of the first half term in Reception, Miss Bailey, Sara and Miss Bowen are so proud of all the children. They are fully settled into school, have well established routines, and it has been lovely to watch their growth, both socially and academically over the last six weeks. Thank you to all of the Reception families for your continued support, and we hope you have a lovely half term break!
