Both girls did some fantastic Maths work this week, demonstrating their accurate number recognition and 1:1 counting skills!
Well done to both of you!
This week in Maths we have been practicing the skill of counting out a given number of objects from a larger group. We learnt that to be successful at this, we can line our objects up and make sure we point to each one only once as we go. Once we have counted the total, we then count them again to double check.
We participated in an Autumn themed counting game, and it was great to see the children’s confidence in number recognition, and 1:1 correspondence developing! We also started to think about one more than any given number up to 10.
