They explored how fables tell a story to teach a lesson, the types of characters they include, and the language they use. Some well-known fables they looked at include &#8216;<em data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"687\">The Hare and the Tortoise&#8217;<\/em>, &#8216;<em data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"713\">The Boy Who Cried Wolf&#8217;<\/em>, and &#8216;<em data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"747\">The North Wind and the Sun&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"1065\">The children read a range of fables and used their comprehension skills to interpret the morals behind each story. In addition, the class worked on using speech punctuation correctly, based on the fable &#8216;<em data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"980\">The Wolf and the Lamb&#8217;<\/em>.
