Stars of the week: Christine & James
A very warm welcome to Class 4! The class have settled into their class well and have shown enthusiasm and determination towards their education with a flying start to all topics, especially Math. In Math, they have quickly grasped the concepts of place value up to 5 digits and have begun comparing them and ordering them in both ascending and descending order.
In English, the children have delved into the world of Vikings that links closely with their history topic. We’ve learnt about where the Vikings have come from, why they might have wanted to invade and how they got here. The children have applied this knowledge to their English work and are beginning to plan their own Viking diary entries.
In PE, the children displayed incredible coordination, strength, balance and most importantly trust where they demonstrated partner balances and relied on one another even when they only had two balance points to depend on.
