🌟 Stars of the Week: Leonardo and PhoenixÂ
Leonardo and Phoenix are our Stars of the Week for their fantastic letters to the Unicorn Theatre. Class 1 wrote about their favourite moments from the production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We thoroughly enjoyed the play.Â
This Week in Class 1:
Class 1 had a wonderful time this week watching a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Unicorn Theatre. It was amazing to see all the characters we have been learning about in our English lessons come to life on stage. The children were especially excited by the confusion caused by Puck, the mischievous fairy, and loved following what happened to Lysander, Demetrius, Helena and Hermia as the story unfolded.
There were lots of laughs along the way, particularly during the comedic moments from the character of Nick Bottom, who was a firm favourite. It was also a very special moment for the class to see King Oberon played by Billie’s dad, Chris, which made the experience even more memorable. The children were truly captivated throughout the performance, and it was fantastic to see Year 1 pupils so engaged with a Shakespeare production.
At the end of the show, we were lucky enough to meet the actors and actresses and even sang our collective worship song to them! It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and a brilliant way to bring our learning to life.
Have a lovely weekend,Â
Miss Kandiah ✨
