This Week in Class 1:
This week in music, the children have been learning to play and recognise the notes E, D and C on the xylophone. Using just these three notes, they practised the melody of a song they already know, helping them to focus on pitch, rhythm and playing carefully together.
Next week, we’ll build on this learning by creating our own melodies using the same notes. Inspired by Football, the children will have the chance to compose a short musical line and explore how music can represent movement and excitement.
