🌟 Stars of the Week: Zac and Eliza
Zac and Eliza asked thoughtful questions during our History lesson. Class 1 had some visitors who brought in toys to show the class. We prepared for our visitors by thinking of good questions to help us find out about the past.Â
This Week in Class 1:
This week, we were very lucky to welcome some special visitors into our classroom to help bring our History learning to life. As part of our topic on toys from the past, our visitors shared real objects and personal memories, helping the children understand how toys have changed over time.
Larken Chima’s grandma brought in a beautiful wooden Noah’s Ark with animal figurines. The children were amazed to learn that the toys were more than 100 years old! They carefully observed the toys and noticed how different they were from the plastic toys we often play with today.
We also loved hearing from Zofia’s mum, who spoke to us about what toys were like when she was growing up in Poland. She explained how children played with simpler toys and how games and playtime were different in the past. This helped the children understand that people’s experiences can be different depending on where and when they grew up.
The children showed great curiosity and respect throughout the visit, and it was wonderful to see their excitement and interest in real historical objects and stories.
A big thank you to our visitors for sharing their time, stories, and treasured objects with us.
Have a lovely weekend.
